He served in the United States Army from June of 1964 to June of 1966 as a dental specialist in the Vietnam War.
He was a hard-working man and took great pride in his work. He worked for 25 years for International Harvester/Dresser Industries/Komatsu as a Design Mechanical Engineer and 13 years for Caterpillar as a Project Engine Test Engineer.
He is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Lesley, his one son and two (twin) daughters.
He was a handyman extraordinaire. He enjoyed home improvement projects, both inside and out, and was an excellent woodworker. He was a man of character and showed strength up until his last days.
Per his wishes, no services will be held at this time.
He wished for his remains to be placed at a military cemetery in Ft. Sheridan, Illinois.
