Rodney was born in Newark New Jersey, where he lived for a couple years before the family moved to Holbrook New York. Growing up he was into baseball, he went to a few Mets games with his father and joined Little League for 2 Seasons. Around 10 years old while living in Holbrook, he took interest into playing street hockey. The love for hockey grew and became a true passion. After graduating Sachem high school he joined the US Air Force. 5 kids later he was last stationed at Luke Air Force Base where he retired in 2003. He stayed working on Base as a Weapons Mechanic on the flight line until the Summer of this year. In 2019 he beat Lung Cancer. March of 2022 his Cancer came back and fought the good fight. Unfortunately, he passed away due to complications from the Cancer but not without fighting with everything he had.
A visitation will be held at 8AM, Tuesday, December 27 with the funeral service beginning at 9AM. Burial will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 1:30PM.
