Robert Ray Beckner

Mr. Robert Ray Beckner of Goodyear, Arizona passed away in the loving company of his wife and puppies the morning of March 12, 2022. The family was together at Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, Arizona for three nights and two days before he passed without suffering. He passed in the arms of Diane and with his puppies by his side. He was born January 7, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Ragie G. and Jurleen E. Beckner. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Sharon Michelle "Shelley" Beckner.

Ray is survived by his wife of 52 years Sharon Diane Beckner, sons Robert Brian Beckner and Chad Allen Beckner, and his sister Gladys Jones. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

He graduated from Purdue University with a degree as an Electrical Engineer. He also worked for Square D and Siemens Electric, both in Indiana. Ray and Diane were married for 52 years but had known each other for 54 years. They had a great love for each other which never faded. Their life together was a wonderful journey. Someday, their combined ashes will be spread on their beloved Star Mountain, which they saw every day since moving to Arizona.

We loved him so much when he was alive; and that love will endure forever.
