Pedro Muro Rojero, age 65 of Glendale, AZ died January 6, 2019 in Glendale, AZ. He was born May 13, 1953 in Mexico, the oldest of three sons born to Francisco and Maria Rojero. At a young age Pedro moved to Odessa, TX where he grew up. Independent and stubborn, young Pedro was a lady’s man who loved low riders. As he matured, Pedro came to know God and his life changed. He loved God, and relied on Him to give him strength through difficult times and tremendous pain. He believed that God has a plan for everyone and because of that, there was a solution for every situation that arose. Trials made you stronger and if you looked at life from a different perspective and didn’t give up, you would succeed!
Pedro was fearless. Nothing scared him, not even the disability that he lived with. He would often draw, even though it was difficult for him to see. He was a good cook. He loved to laugh and joke, sometimes pretending to do magic and make his stump levitate. He loved gospel music and was never shy to sing. The words of the songs went straight to his heart and he often took them for signs in his life. He lovingly cared for the roses in his garden and often cleaned the areas surrounding his home to ensure that everything was neat and orderly.
Pedro was more than a father, he was a friend and counselor. Though he was quiet, he was always listening and watching. His advice was brutally honest, but he made you think that no matter what difficulties you were facing you would be okay. When his daughters were younger he would watch them play soccer. He was their #1 supporter. His grandchildren were everything to him! He was so excited for his first grandchild that he made sure that he was there for the birth. His brothers were a part of his daily life through text messages. He would pour his coffee, grab his phone and call out, “Chanate time, bro!”
Pedro is survived by his daughters, Monica Contreras, Selena Muro Contreras, Rosa Contreras, Brenda Cuevas, and Adriana Ramierz; brother Jesus Ramirez; and eight grandchildren, Sophia, Aayden, Emma, Alexandra, Joann, Aileen, Jasmine, and Aaliyah. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Rojero, and his brother, Jaime Ramirez.
