Matthew Lara

Matthew Ryan Lara of Mesa, Arizona passed away December 13, 2023 at the age of 31. He was born march 27, 1992 in San Diego, California to Jose Lara and Joyce Eucker. He is survived by his son Matthew Ryan Lara, Jr., mother Joyce Lara, sister Christina Ly, and grandmother Purita Eucker.

Matthew graduated from the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. He was an avid musician who play the trumpet,  piano and guitar. He was also a member of a mariachi band. Matthew loved bowling, he was also an outdoorsman who loved to go camping, hiking and fishing. He completed the Arizona National Scenic Trail in 2021, an 800 mile hike from the U.S. Mexico boarder to Utah. His trail name was, "Bullet."

Matthew great accomplishment and joy was his five-year-old son, Jr. He loved his son with all his heart. He was an amazing friend and loved to make everyone laugh. His bright soul will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Burial will be at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary (3838 Bonita Rd, Bonita CA 91902).
