Jorge Reyna Morales passed away unexpectedly on Monday January, 9 2023 surrounded by his children and grandchildren in Goodyear, AZ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elida Morales. He is survived by his children: Vanessa Morales, Salvador Morales, and Jorge Morales, Jr., five sisters, six brothers, five brothers-in-law, and three sisters-in-law. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Aidan, Ariana, Alaina, and Alexzander.
He was raised by his mother Elida alongside his 11 other siblings, being the 3rd oldest. Jorge began working at a young age in agriculture to assist his family. He then worked in building mobile homes and began working at Albertsons over 20 years ago. He was set to retire later this year.
As a young man, Jorge enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving around in his '69 firebird, martial arts and going to concerts. As he got a little older, he became more involved in fishing, hunting, and hiking. He was an avid fan of Arizona professional sports teams. However, his favorite team of all was the Washington Redskins.
He was the ultimate father. He was a single father to Vanessa and Jorge Jr. and was a big part of his son Sal's life as well. Besides raising his children, he helped raise his daughter's son, his grandson Aidan. He coached his children's sports teams and made sure he provided for his children. He was a one-of-a-kind man as so many people loved him besides his immediate and extended family. Jorge always opened his heart and door to others. He was sarcastic, stern, and protective as well. Jorge was overall just a great human that left us all too soon and so close to being able to finally relax after working for over 50 years.
A visitation will be held at 9am on Monday, January 23 at Thompson Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on January 23 at 3022 S. 165th Ave, Goodyear, Arizona. Please wear your Washington Redskins or Camo gear.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Arizona Wildlife Federation.
