Janice Francis

Janice was born March 3, 1949, in Ottumwa, IA to James H. and Helen M. Mitchell.  She graduated from WalshHigh School there and worked in retail sales in Clinton, IA, Farmington, NM, and Hastings, NE, before moving to the Phoenix area in 1993.  An avid fan, she enjoyed NASCAR, her Cubs, all Nebraska Husker sports, and especially watching her grandchildren play their sports.

She is survived by her children, Amanda Hinzmann and Troy Francis; Amanda’s husband Bill; grandchildren Cole, Austin and Abby, all of GoodyearAZ; brother, Jim Mitchell, Oro Valley, AZ; sisters, Pam Wilson, Mt. Pleasant, IA and Stephanie Swanson, Norwalk, IA.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites were accorded.  A Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, June 24th at Estrella Mountain Church, Goodyear.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date at CalvaryCemetery, Ottumwa.
