Henry Garcia, 71, of Goodyear, Arizona died July 14, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born February 17, 1950 in Bogota, Colombia to Enrique Garcia and Fanny Vasquez.
He migrated to Brooklyn, New York in 1968 and graduated from Polytechnic Institute of New York University. His 50 year engineering career started at Con Edison in New York and later as a small computer business owner and teacher in New Jersey.
Henry’s passion throughout his life was always soccer. His love for the sport led him to coaching with club travel league Union Lancers, eventually taking him to tournaments in Europe and throughout the United States.
Henry is survived by his wife, Charlotte Garcia, daughter, Jennifer Martinez, son, Henry Alexander Garcia, sister, Ingrid Vellejo, brothers, Richard Garcia and John Garcia, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
