Rickey Jones Sr.

Born to the late Flora Lea and Jesse Allen Jones, Rickey is also preceded in death by his daughter Sandy Lee Brown and his brother Michael Allen Jones. He is survived by his devoted companion of nearly 20 years, Vickie Hogan; treasured children Jesse Jones (Lisa), Rickey Jones (Rachel); step-son Chris Boone (Amanda); precious grandchildren Daniel, Matthew, Hannah, Trevor, Travis, Clayson, Cassidy, Cooper, Collin; cherished great-grandchildren Annabelle, Makenna, Joseph, Myiah; beloved nieces Shelly Russell, Crystal Corley; his dear sister Dodie Jean Bloodworth (Thomas), as well as many other much loved family members and friends.

Rickey grew up on a farm and was raised in Goodlettsville, TN. He was a Union bricklayer for around 40 years before retirement. He loved blues music, joking around and the smell of lavender. An avid aviculturist, Rickey has traveled the country on occasions to retrieve birds of different feathers to come live in his backyard aviary. He was dedicated to his family and had many friends. Rickey will be dearly missed.

A visitation for Rickey will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, followed by a Memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM, all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
