Mary Margaret Crowell

Mary Margaret Crowell, age 77, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Mary was born Thursday, December 27, 1945 in Nashville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Billie Seymour Butterfield; brothers, James Butterfield, Robert Butterfield; sister, Betsey Whitley.

A retired Accounting Clerk for the State of Tennessee Department of Human Resource, a member of Joelton First Baptist Church, she was a doll collector and love watching westerns on television; a loyal fan of Gunsmoke.

Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, Melvin C. Crowell; sons, William Carl (Lisa) Crowell, Christopher Dale (Carlyona) Crowell and Philip Earl (Suzanne) Crowell; 10 grandchildren; brothers, John Butterfield and Jack Butterfield.

A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9:00 until 10:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.

A a Celebration of Life will occur Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. David Royalty officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
