Marie Bain Savely

Marie Bain Savely, Age 97, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 30, 2024 and rejoin loved ones that have gone before her. Born Sunday, November 28, 1926 in Hardin County TN, Marie was residing at her home in Hendersonville TN surrounded by family when she passed.

Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and Christian. She was incredibly loyal to her one and only true love, Gilbert Savely, to whom she was married for 36 years and remained faithfully devoted to him for 40+ years following his passing. Marie was truly a Servant of God and she ministered by serving others in His name. A faithful member of the Church of Christ at Broadmoor, Marie was a selfless and tireless servant who leaves behind a legacy of service to others.

Surviving Marie are her five children; Gail Looper, Linda Gregory, Jeana Caruthers, Wayne Savely, Loretta Butera and her husband Jim; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister Jo Evans and brother Doug Bain, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects to Marie and her family on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Church of Christ at Broadmoor (264 Broadmoor Dr, Nashville TN 37207) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 12:00 pm also at Broadmoor and the family will be receiving visitors starting at 10:00 am. Immediately following the service, she will be laid to rest, beside her Husband Gilbert, at Forest Lawn (1150 Dickerson Rd, Goodlettsville, TN 37072).
