Lida Baugh Parente

Lida Baugh Parente, age 69, passed away on December 23, 2024, at her home in White House, TN, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 21, 1955, to parents Joseph and Virginia Baugh. She was the youngest of four girls. Lida grew up in East Nashville where she attended East Nashville High School and in her early years was a member of the Shelby Avenue Church of Christ. She later became a member of Grace Park Baptist Church. But no matter where she went, Jesus was always with Lida. Her love for God was apparent to all who knew her. On May 20, 1989, in Centennial Park in Nashville, Tennessee, God led her to marry the man she loved, William. Love continued to guide her in her life, raising a beautiful family and teaching that family about the joys of Jesus. With a daughter of her own, four granddaughters, and three great grandchildren, one of Lida’s favorite things on this earth was her family. Every Thursday night she would cook dinner for her family, where they would gather and share their time and laughter.

Lida is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virginia; Her sister, Nedra Sircy; and her beloved poodle, Sugar Bear.

She is survived by her Husband and best friend of 45 years, William; Her daughter, Sandi (Thomas) Sherwood; Four granddaughters, Brittani Broussard, Lauren Federer (Tyler Leding), Kaylee Federer, Lexz (John) Bouchard; three great grandchildren, Londyn Nichols, River Broussard, Caine Nichols; and two sisters, Erma Clement and Claudia (Terry) Carillon.

A visitation for Lida will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 from 4-8PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens. A second visitation will occur Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 12-2PM and a funeral service will occur starting at 2PM following the visitation. Burial will be held after the funeral service, also located at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
