Julia Ellen Goostree

Born in Dunlap, TN to the late George W. and Mary A. (Haney) Garner, Julia is also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Francis Lynn Goostree and her daughter Patricia Lynn McKnight; and siblings Billy Ralph Garner, Bud Garner, Phillip Garner, Shirley Click, Aileen Starkey, Teresa Cobble and Bonnie Maye Garner.

She is survived by her son Thomas E. Goostree and his wife Casandra; and her daughter Tammy Costa; siblings Albert Garner of Chattanooga, TN, George Garner of Ringgold, GA, Shelia Reeves of Old Hickory, TN, Connie Culberson of Centre, AL and Jerry Wayne Garner of Winchester, TN; her grandchildren Katie Goostree, William Costa, Ryan Costa, Jason Parker and his wife Kara, Jacob McKnight, Samantha McKnight Goldsmith and her husband Chris, Ellen Davis; great-grandchildren Sawyer & Casen; many beloved nieces, nephews, other extended family and dear friends.

Julia loved spending time with her family and gathering them all to share a meal. She enjoyed being outside and tending to her flower beds. Her caring and loving nature was shared with anyone in her presence. A bright light for us all, Julia will forever be in our heart.

A visitation for Julia will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 12pm ~ 2pm and a graveside service officiated by Chad Phelan to begin at 2pm and burial to follow, all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN.
