John F. Durham, age 57 of Goodlettsville passed away on Wednesday May 29, 2024. He was born Tuesday, November 15, 1966. He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents Armor and Elizabeth Burton. Paternal grandparents Tom Ford and Delia Warran; Mother, Linda Carolyn Reid; Father, Billy Ray Durham II and brother, Billy Ray Durham III.
He was survived by his son, Brandon T. Durham; Stepfather (Dad), James Reid; Brother, Jeff (Tina) Durham.
John enjoyed drag racing and often visited the Union Hill Raceway to watch the various levels of cars and motorcycles competing on the weekends, even building his own car at one point to take a turn down the track. He followed NASCAR and was a lifelong fan of Dale Earnhardt until his passing in 2001. He loved son as well as a host of other cousins’ family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to Alive Hospice 1718 Patterson St. Nashville, 37203.
A celebration of life for John will be held Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072.
