Harvey Filmore age 85 passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013. Born August 11, 1927 in Goodlettsville, Tennessee he retired after 37 years, from American Airlines. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey M. and Nora Walker Harris; sister, Sally Smith; brother, William Harris.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Harris; daughter, Betty Jean (Buddy) Shaw; sons, Fil (Brenda) Harris, Gerald (Mary Margaret) Harris; brothers, Richard and Hershel Harris; 8 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Jack Gallaway and Larry Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mike Harris, Matthew Harris, Andrew Harris, Adam Harris, Scott Dowdy, Chip Shaw.
Family and friends will gather at a visitation to remember Mr. Harris Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
