Born in Springfield, TN to the late Billy Ray Roark and Edna (Morris) Roark, David is also preceded in death by his son Stephen David Roark.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Judy (Gwaltney) Roark; children Stephanie Finol (Jesus), MacKenzie Roark, Stacey Smith; cherished grandchildren Zachary, Sawyer, Sophia, Rylee, Gabriela; precious great-grandchildren Taliyah, Yaden, Lanie, Kaitlyn, Brighton; loving siblings Deena Ryan (Todd), Danny Roark (Linda), Dennis Roark (LeighAnn); nieces and nephews Cory, Chasen and Calan Roark, Cassie Ewing, Peyton Townley and Callie Ryan; many other beloved extended family and dear friends.
David was beloved to his friends and family. Spending time with the ones he loved was what he enjoyed the most. As a young man, David was an extraordinary athlete, and his love for sports was passed down through all the generations that followed him.
A carpenter by trade, he was incredibly talented and could build anything and make it beautiful. He was a true cowboy, one of his favorite things as a young man was the rodeo and he had an undeniable gift in team roping. Everyone who met David, loved him. He was a good man, husband, father and brother. We will cherish our memories with David, and he will forever be in our hearts.
Visitation for David Roark will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 2pm-6pm and again on Monday, December 11th from 11am to 12pm, with a funeral chapel service to begin at 12pm and a burial to follow, all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 S. Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, TN.
