Mr. Johnson was born Monday, July 15, 1940 in High Point, NC to Atlas and Brookie Johnson.
Because Darrell believed his music ability was a gift, he began singing in church at a very early age.
Enlisting in the Navy after high school graduation, he was a member of the Naval Choir.
Singing with the gospel trio, The Rangers, Darrell travelled the world spreading the message of Jesus through song.
As a co-founder of Tennessee Imports, he worked many years building a successful company.
His love of golf wasn’t shooting the lowest score, but the value of his friendships on and off of the course.
Darrell will be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend, and a Christian. He will be dearly missed.
Darrell was preceded in death by his wife , Janie; his parents; and his brother, Larry Johnson. He is survived by his sister, Linda Grubb; son, Brian Johnson; son Brad Johnson and his wife Corey; grandson, Chris Johnson; granddaughter Madison Simpson and her husband Braiden.

Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Johnson at a visitation Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 2:00 until 4:00pm and Monday, February 10, 2020 from 1:00 until the 2:00pmservice with Pastor Dave Winton officiating at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, Tennessee
