Mr. Boyd worked for some 40 years with Davis Cabinet Company until their closing; then he went on to work with Stephens Millwork until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruby C. Boyd; children, Larry (Thelma) Boyd, Jerry (Cindy) Boyd, Brenda (Norman) Cruise, Sissy (Tony) Parrish, Debbie (Rockie) Williams, Darryl (Kate) Boyd; sisters, Ruth Crabtree, Dot Newman, Jennie Stanley; brother, Kenneth, Fred and Marvis Boyd; ten grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Boyd at a visitation Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 4:00 until 6:00 and Friday, November 18, 2016 from 12:00 until 2:00 at Forest Lawn.
A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 Friday, November 18, 2016 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Rockie Williams officiating; burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
