Miss Ida Linda Hernandez

Ida Linda Hernandez, age 37, of Gonzales passed away Friday, February 19, 2010. Ida was born September 1, 1972 in San Juan, Texas to Juan A. Hernandez and Lucy B. Bustamante Hernandez. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and Bluebonnet Trail Program.

She is survived by her parents; three brothers: Roland Hernandez, John Hernandez, and Vincent Hernandez, all of Gonzales; five aunts: Elena Naranjo, Carolyn Decker, Emma Cabrera, Linda Gonzalez, and Yalinda Deleon; and 11 uncles: Rocky Bustamante, Johnny Bustamante, Rubin Bustamante, Robert Bustamante, Tom Bustamante, Alejo Hernandez, Abdon Hernandez, Roberto Hernandez, Marcello Hernandez, Ramiro Hernandez, and Tomas Jr. Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Justo and Tomasa Bustamante, and Tomas and Antonia Hernandez; two aunts, Ernestine Edison Bustamante and Erma Barco; and one uncle, Dell Bustamante.

Pallbearers will be Roland Hernandez, John Hernandez, Vincent Hernandez, Larry Gomez, Jerry Gomez, and Troy Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Xavier Castillo, Mike Cabrera, Tom Hernandez, and Ramiro Hernandez.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales. Rosary will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, with burial to follow at Gonzales City Cemetery; Father Paul Raaz officiating.
