Sondra Ann Lanoux Miller, 82, a cherished native of Jackson, LA and beloved resident of Prairieville, LA, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024. She was a woman of warmth, grace, and unwavering love for her family and life's simple joys. Sondra graduated from Gonzales High School in 1959. She was dedicated Ascension Parish bus driver for over 21 years where she touched the lives of numerous students. Among her passions were the tranquility of the beach and the vibrant beauty of yellow roses. Above all, Sondra held her family close to her heart. She shared a deep and enduring bond with her husband, Cody D. Miller, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished moments. Their union was a testament to the power of love and devotion, inspiring all who knew them. Sondra's legacy lives on through her children: Mitzi (Peter) Miller Delaune and Cody Dave (Eileen) Miller Jr. Her love and guidance shaped their lives, instilling in them the values of compassion, integrity, and resilience. She was a devoted grandmother to Lacie (Jacob) DeLacerda, Lauren (Jeremy) Knott, Cayde Miller, and Taylor Miller, who brought immeasurable joy and laughter into her life. Sondra was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Alexia Lambert, Gage Alexander, Jadeb DeLacerda, Henry Knott, Evie Knott and Karson Fairchild, whose presence brought light and warmth to her days. Sondra was preceded in death by her parents, Felman P. Lanoux and Vernell L. Lanoux, and her sister, Andrea Lanoux. She is survived by her adoring husband, Cody D. Miller, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her brothers, Lynn Lanoux and Chad Lanoux. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, with a rosary beginning at 8:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am, followed by burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery, where Sondra will be laid to rest. Sondra's presence will be deeply missed, but her love and light will continue to shine bright in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
