Phillip Ellis Faller passed away on December 6, 2022, at the age of 82. He was born on August 11, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bonnie L. Faller, his grandson Phillip L. Faller (Danielle) and his great-grandchildren Raelyn, Daisy, and John. He is preceded in death by his parents Avaline and Lawrence Faller and sons Phillip Allen Faller and Eric Edward Faller.
Phillip worked for over 50 years as an underwriter, claims manager and compliance officer in the states of Indiana, Florida, Texas, and Louisiana. Among his many interests, he was an avid model train enthusiast. He was a past president of the Baton Rouge Civil War Round Table. With his extensive knowledge on the Civil War, he successfully wrote a book, "The Indiana Jackass Regiment in the Civil War. "He held a wealth of knowledge in regard to the Civil War and would always enjoy sharing that information with those around him.
Phillip was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution; the Masonic Lodge both in Clearwater, FL and in Gonzales, LA. He was also an active member of the First United Methodist Church for many years.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at First United Methodist Church in Gonzales, 224 West Constitution on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the service to start at 11:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest in the church columbarium.
