Aunty Norma was a very kind, compassionate and loving women. She had the light of Jesus in her life. I’m positive she helped many along in their journey in life.

One time I called to visit and said we should do something on a Saturday afternoon. When I arrived she wanted to go to the local nursery. I agreed but I all I had was a small sports car. So we went and she bought so many plants/flowers that it filled my empty trunk and on the top of the trunk. On our way back home, she said, “Honey, make sure none of the plants are falling off.” She also said, “I feel like a teenager again (because of the little sports car that was a convertible and the top was down that day)!” 

I am certain she would have helped anyone in need. If only the work had more Aunty Normas!

So many warm memories. Most recent and reoccurring throughout the years was Aunt Norma’s ease and eager witness. Whether a waitress a passerby or a small child, she would touch or gently clasp a hand and softly say « you’re beautiful, …. And Jesus loves you ».  This news was always received with gratitude and a smile and created a unique connection.
The memory most retold, our camping trip to the east coast. In Uncle Bill’s station wagon, packed to the brim with shirts and towels dangling out the windows, Norma, Toots, Chris , our puppy Geri and I appeared as authentic hillbillies when we arrived in town or stopped at a resort for lunch. Oh how we laughed and sang along the way.  So distracted the fuel gauge was forgotten. Empty on the highway shoulder Aunt Norma jumped out and jumped into a truck that pulled over to help. Swiftly without a word she was gone. « Don’t worry he had a bible on the dash » said Chris. Sure enough an hour later  we were on our way again. Days later we were again laughing and singing until we came to a slow stop on the shoulder. We emptied gas from our camping stove and lantern.  On the road again the night became very dark and once again we rolled slowly. A gas stations light were within a mile. Our first reaction was to push the car while Aunt Norma steered it. Exhausted and laughing at ourselves Chris and I abandoned them with a large pop bottle in hand hiking to the station. Running back we shouted as the car lights grew dim. « TURN OFF  the lights » Then blackness. Shaking our heads a car stopped as we refuelled. The man boosted our battery closed the hood and he was gone. None of us could recall any words or even his car pulling away. It seemed that he simply vanished. Aunt Norma thanked God and claimed it was an angel. The rest of us dumbfounded and thought….. could it have been? Hmmmmm.
Linda my heart goes out to you and your family. I’m thankful  for the many adventures with you,  your mom and toots.

Dear Linda and Bob; Your Mom left a trail of Christian values wherever she went. She spoke soothing words to many to calm their troubled lives and left one feeling full of hope and love. 
She made THE BEST crab cakes. I was invited, along with Mom and others to her lovely home in Germanicus , and sat down to such a lovely and memorable meal. She was a blessing to many. Love, Gail.

We have fond memories of Norma. She and Bonnie were facilitators of Day Set Apart for years - Norma as hostess and Bonnie as study leader. She was a cherished part of our lives at Germanicus. Take care and God bless. Pastor Alan and Bonnie Boerner.

My dear Norma,  she now with her family.  I remember picking up Norma, and  Toostie and go on a road tour with groups.  They always  were so appreciate  of being included in garthers.  The last I saw Norma was in Louisiana  when I visited my cousin Den nese  with Toostie. She was with Linda then
 Rest in peace my dear friend. 

One of my earliest memories of Auntie Norma and Uncle Bill was in late October of 1962 (do the math!!).
Mother & Earl took Beaver and myself on a vacation to Baltimore and it turns out we would be there for Hallowe'en.  Auntie Norma dressed us up in some Hallowe'en masks and we four kids, Linda, Bob, Beaver and myself set out onto the streets of Baltimore with pillow cases to carry home all of our loot. WOW!  A very gracious hostess.  Coincidentally, and I didn't learn this until years later, THAT this was at the height of the Cuban missile crisis.  None of the adults spoke of this in front of us kids.  I suppose they displayed a maturity that really doesn't exist much anymore.  It was very nice to have made an acquaintance with my mother's sister.

Norma had such a full life, …travel, family, and a love for our Lord. 
She opened her family home in Canada to many of us, sharing her favorite haunts for butter tarts and Canadian poutine.
She will be remembered as a gracious hostess, an entertaining story teller, and a woman who loved life.
We are blessed to have known her.

Dear Linda and Bob, & Family;
May God bless you during this time, and may you have many fond memories of your Mom.  She affected my life greatly and I considered  her a Spiritual Mother, for which I am thankful to have known her. 
I pray that you are comforted and lifted by the Spirit, and remember her in Faith and Love.
