Linda Coleman Dunn was born on January 5, 1947, to the parentage of Mamie Robertson and Willie Jones Sr. in the city of Hebart, Louisiana. She departed this life on July 10, 2022, at her residence in Gonzales, Louisiana at the age of 75. Linda was baptized at True Light Baptist Church, and later joined I Walk By Faith Ministry, where she served faithfully. She was employed by Ascension Public Schools where she was hard working and dedicated Facility Manager at Central Elementary until her retirement from LeBlanc Special Service Center. Linda was a very beautiful and wonderful person who loved God and her family. She will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, two daughters, Charmon Coleman Thomas (Kendrick) and Christal Coleman Fleming (Eric); three sons, Darryl Coleman (Wanda), Kim Coleman, and Christopher Coleman; three sisters, Martha Douglas, Ella Mae Jones and Marie Jones; four brothers, Odis Jones Sr., Lory Jones Sr., Alvin Jones (Jerlyn), and Bernard Jones(Fannie); one goddaughter, Ebony Hill(Luther); ten grandchildren, Tamara, Kim, Breanne, Kayla, Corren, Jacolby, Daria, Trevor, Tamira, Erin, and honorary grandson Jayden; six great grandchildren, Kennedy, Karter, Kaiden, Adore’, Kinsley and A'riyah. A special nephew Odis Jones Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Mamie Jones; Paternal and Maternal grandparents. Two sons, Marvin Coleman and Romell Coleman; one grandson, Antonio Coleman; four brothers, Willie Jones Jr., Lester Jones Sr., Paul Jones Sr., and Ernest Jones; two sisters, Delores Ray and Irma Monday; one brother-in-law, Oscar Douglas; three sister in-laws, Sondra Jones, Beulah Jones, and Elnora Jones; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The Coleman Family would like to express thanks and appreciation for all the many sincere prayers, calls, visits, and acts of love demonstrated to our family during the illness and subsequent passing of our precious mother. You served as a source of solace in this time of transition for us. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home Chapel, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA, on July 15, 2022 from 9:00 am-10:00 am. Funeral services will be on July 15, 2022 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at I Walk By Faith Cemetery in Gonzales, LA.
