Kenneth J. Blanchard Sr.

A resident of Gonzales and retired pipefitter with Local 198 and from D&K Concrete Corporation, he passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on, Saturday, March 27, 2010. He was 68 and a native of Brusly. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Sunday, March 28 from 5 pm to 9 pm and will resume on Monday from 9 am until religious services in the funeral home chapel at 12:30 pm. Burial to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret Jarreau Blanchard; daughter, Denise Duncan and husband James; son, Kenneth J. Blanchard, Jr. and wife Becky B.; sisters, Gloria LaPrairie and husband Ralph, Margaret Lejeune and husband Earl, Betty Kerry, Lillie Mae Billiot and husband Adam; half sisters, Donnalynn Blanchard, Maria Blanchard, and Linda Blanchard; half brothers, Terry Blanchard, Randy Blanchard and, Donald Blanchard; grandchildren, James and Justin Duncan; great granddaughter, Nevaeh Duncan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Remi Blanchard, Jr. and Carrie Blanchard; sisters, Mildred Mae Blanchard, Dolores Angel Blanchard Henry, and Louise Rita Blanchard Dupuy; brother, John Alford Blanchard; half brothers, Remi Paul Blanchard and Jerry Wayne Blanchard.
