Joseph "Eric" Vines

Joseph “Eric” Vines, a resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on September 13, 2022 at the age of 46. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Linda Slade Vines. He is survived by his siblings; Melissa Anderson-Slade, Kevin Vines, Jean Barker (Eric) and Tim Vines (Jennifer). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Chad, Jay, Amber, Virginia, Lizzie, Eli, Hannah, Holden, Lindsey, Colby and Maggie and his girlfriend Rachael Owens.

Eric served his country in the US Army and was an extremely proud veteran. Eric was always known for being a dedicated, hard worker. He worked as a St. John Deputy, a heavy equipment operator at Primoris and was currently working at Honeywell as a process operator. He was a heavy equipment operator and was very skilled at his trade. He had received a Hero Award for saving a drowning person while at Marathon. Eric was the picture of health, always in the gym and eating healthy, and helping others to better themselves. He was very outgoing and also outspoken, but everything he said was from the heart. He loved watching the Saints and playing video games, especially Destiny. His kind heart and positive personality will be sorely missed by many.

Family and friends are invited to attend a night wake on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA from 5:00pm -8:00pm.
