Joseph Aubrey Broussard Sr.

GONZALES – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Joseph Aubrey Broussard, Sr., age 89, at 11:00 am Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Eric Gyan officiating. Interment will follow at Prairieville Community Cemetery in Prairieville.

Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, March 28, 2014. Visitation will resume the following morning at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church starting at 9:00 am until service time.

A native of Hobert and resident of Gonzales, Mr. Broussard passed away at 7:00 am, Monday, March 24, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Broussard was a retired machinist with Exxon. He is survived by his sons, Joseph A. Broussard, Jr., David Lee Broussard, John Wayne Broussard; grandchildren, Jeremy W., Valerie A., Devin W., Cody M., and great-grandchildren, Walter and Destiny.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Miller Broussard; parents, Vincent and Octavia Broussard; brothers, Carnie Ray Broussard, Spencer Broussard and sisters, Ella Creoli and Nina Dixon.

Pallbearers will be Devin Broussard, Cody Broussard, Jeremy Broussard, Larry Francis, Walter Leftwich and Brian Broussard.
