Joan L. Dougherty passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the age of 82. She was a very strong and fierce woman who took pride in her family and her work. She worked hard for everything she ever had in her life. She was a great mom and a better grandma. She loved her family from her center core. She is survived by her grandchildren; Tara Gant, and Donald Lassetter; great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Gage, Melody, and Charlette; brother-in-law, Warren Springer; sister-in-law, Kathleen Dougherty, son-in-law, Rocky Gant; She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dougherty; daughter Michelle “Missy” Gant; parents, Eva Rogers and Norwood Lewis; sister, Patricia Springer and her infant great-grandson Tyler Everett II. A visitation for Joan will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, La. She will be laid to rest at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, 604 E. Hwy 30, Gonzales, La.
