Gregory Paul Dugas, a native of White Castle, Louisiana and a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana died on February 19th, 2023 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He passed away at his home at the age of 57 surrounded by his family. He worked for TotalEnergies for 33 years as a production supervisor. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jerry Dugas and Cynthia Ramagos Dugas; mother-in-law, Judy Elkins Watts; as well as several beloved aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lara Lindsey Dugas; son and daughter-in-law, Dakota Dugas and Ashton Hebert Dugas; sons, Kyle Dugas and Logan Dugas; sister and brother-in-law, Janet Dugas Stassi and Glynn Stassi; brother and sister-in-law, Ken Dugas and Monica Jones Dugas; and brother-in-law Scott Lindsey and Cheryl Lyle. He also leaves behind his nieces, Kaitlyn and Madelyn Dugas; and nephews, Jake and Nick Stassi to cherish the memory of their Uncle Greg. Family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Frederic Regenstein and Ashley Pembo, RN at Tulane Medical Center; family friends in the medical field, Bridget Pancoast, Angel Vidrine, Jared Vidrine, and Tara Fisher; and the many friends who were there when needed. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, Louisiana on Wednesday February 22, 2023 from 5pm-8pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 23, 2023 Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle, Louisiana from 9am-10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday February 23, 2023 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle, Louisiana at 11am with burial to follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
