Delia Guzman Borgstede

Delia Guzman Borgstede (Mrs. George J. Borgstede, Jr.) (“Dee,” “DeeDee”) passed peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2013 in the Butterfly Wing at Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was the glue that held our family together, took care of so many family members through the years, and now God and his angels will be taking care of her. Delia was born in San Pedro Sula Honduras on March 8, 1921, to Federico Guzman and Marguerite Henderson. She came to New Orleans when she was six months old and remained there until moving to Gonzales four years ago. Delia is survived by her daughter, Lynn Borgstede Ebeyer, her three beloved grandchildren, Lisa Ebeyer (and Jeff Deist), Dawn Ewen (and Earl L.), and Tracy Ebeyer. She had one wonderful great granddaughter, Sadie Ebeyer-Deist. She is also survived by her loving brother, Jorge Mario Guzman (Lourdes). She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
