A native of Gulfport, Miss., he passed away at his residence in Gonzales on Saturday, May 7, 2011. He was 58. Survived by his wife, Deborah Ann Munson Heard; mother, Jean Lee Heard; brothers, Brian L. Heard and Edward H. Heard; daughters, Angie Heard Piper, Stacy Heard Girod, Tracy Heard Freyder, Tracy Blalock Carlton and Kaci E. Blalock; sons, Jamie Blalock, Chris Blalock and Adam Blalock; and grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua, Jonathan, Aliah, Ethan, Sadie, Lily, Kalyn, Rachael, Rebekah, Brody, Bethany, Christopher, Ashleigh, Noah, Madison, Deacon and Gage. Preceded in death by his father, Thomas Horton Heard. A memorial service will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 4pm until 9pm.
