Danny Babin

Daniel Paul Babin passed away on February 26, 2016 at the age of 67. He was a native of St. Amant and a resident of Sorrento. He was the retired owner of Ascension Door and Window. Danny is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cathy Melancon Babin; a daughter Steffie Babin Peterson and a son Pyke Babin; four grandchildren, Toni Richard, Lexie and Kael Babin, and Gavin Peterson; two great grandchildren, Gage Richard and Rylie Duncan; a sister, Betty Gore; and mother-in-law Clara Melancon. He is preceded in death by his parents Ancil and Alexcena Babin; two brothers, Jerry and Leroy Babin; and father-in-law, Gavin (Bubbie) Melancon. Pallbearers will be Barry Dison, Jerry Babin Jr., Rantz Stafford, Lance Lee, Shane Barthelemy, and Corey Babin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kael Babin, Gavin Peterson, Kirby Edmonston, and Louis Stafford. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Sunday February 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with rosary beginning at 8:30 p.m. and visitation will resume on Monday February 29, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Sorrento from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev.
