It is with great sadness that the family of Celeste Kling Carpenter announces her passing after a hard fought journey on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the age of 59. She was a loving mother and a dedicated "Suga" to her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Celeste Kling Carpenter at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 3, 2018, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Sorrento. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Ourso Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church starting at 9:00 am continuing until Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Mausoleum. Celeste is survived by her daughters, Cara Carpenter Landry and husband, Preston, Caleigh Carpenter Ramagos and husband, Logan, Caroline Nicole Carpenter; grandchildren, Peyton Scott Landry, Stella Catherine Landry, Lucille Marie Ramagos; former husband, Randal Scott Carpenter; sister, Suzette Kling Landry; brother, Leslie Kling, Sr. and wife, Anna; mother-in-law, Noelie Carpenter; father-in-law, Carroll Carpenter and numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Joseph Kling and Velda Lambert Kling and aunt, Laura Nell Schexnayder. Celeste was employed at Pathology Group of LA for over 20 years as the Business Office Manager. Pallbearers will be Preston Landry, Logan Ramagos, Trey Landry, Leslie "Chop" Kling, Jr., Brad Blanchard, Adam "Ernie" Schexnayder, Barry Carpenter and Jared Romero.
