Byron "BJ" John Lambert

Byron John “BJ” Lambert passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the age of 83. Byron was born in Sorrento, LA on May 25, 1940 to John and Mabel Lambert. He retired from Local 406 and Ascension Parish Public Works. He loved cutting his yard, helping people, anything LSU, fishing, dancing & his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Bonnye; four daughters, Lisa (Billy) Gray, Kay Paschal, Jan Villeneuve, Tracy (Brett) Fontenot; three grandsons, one granddaughter; and two great grandsons. He is also survived by four step-children, Steven (JoEllen) Williams, Michael Williams, Wendy (Mike) Lutgring and Jeffrey Williams; one step-grandson, five step-granddaughters; and two-step great granddaughters. He is also survived by three sisters, Glynell Templet, Delbra (Terry) Templet and Myra Melancon; brother, Randy (Beverly) Lambert; and sister in law, Joyce Lambert. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gerald & Alan Lambert; sister, Ann Lambert; and son-in-law, Larry Villeneuve.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA. Visitation will resume on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Ourso Funeral Home, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his name.
