Bertha B. Vicknair

Bertha B. Vicknair, a native of French Settlement and resident of Maurepas, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the age of 93. Bertha was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She liked to read, cook, garden, and occasionally sewed for her neighbors and relatives. Bertha is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Vicknair; sons, Gary Vicknair and wife, Patricia, Terry Vicknair and wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Kim Bankston, Wade Bercegeay, Justin Vicknair, Jenae Miles; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Janice Jones. She is preceded in death by her husband, Amaluce Vicknair, Jr., parents and 5 siblings. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Maurepas from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
