Our loving father, grandfather, partner, and friend, Frank Resendez, sadly passed away on January 29, 2023, in Southern California. Frank was born and raised in Hanford, California. Following graduation from Hanford High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served at March Air Force Base, Riverside. He then moved to San Gabriel, where he met his wife, Angie. Lovingly, they raised their two daughters in El Monte. Frank and Angie enjoyed 30 years of marriage until her passing in 1996. Frank took great joy in being a father; he loved spending time with his daughters, going on bike rides, playing games, and sharing his passion for the Rolling Stones. He was always willing to volunteer, and often chaperoned school dances and events.
Frank enjoyed a successful career working for Pacific Telephone in the San Gabriel Valley, retiring after 34 years of service. Shortly thereafter, he fulfilled his dream of moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona where he met Bonnie Rothrock. They shared 18 years together and were fondly referred to as “Bonnie and Clyde.” Frank loved his life in Lake Havasu where he was a member of a few lodges in town, including the Moose, Elks, Eagles, and the VFW. Frank loved making enchiladas, telling stories, watching Nascar and the San Francisco Forty-Niners, enjoying a cold Bud, and learning everything about Lake Havasu. But more than that, he loved having his family, especially his grandkids, visit their home in Lake Havasu.
Frank was 78 years old and is survived by his daughters Rosie Resendez and Lisa Petersen, son-in-law Steve Petersen, grandson Steve Petersen, granddaughter Brooke Perez, partner Bonnie Rothrock, and sister Hope Escobar. Forever in our hearts, we thank him for the life, love, laughs, and care he gave us.
