Delia (Valadez) Gonzalez

Delia Valadez-Gonzalez, age 79, of La Puente, California passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Delia was born in San Agustin, Guadalajara, Mexico. She resided in the city of La Puente, California for forty-six years. She was married to her first and only love, Jose Manuel, in November, 1970. In the late 1990s she became a proud naturalized citizen of the United States.

She loved working at Nelson Elementary School / Hacienda La Puente School District as a volunteer and instructional aide from 1977 until 2018. Delia always thought of others before herself. Anyone who got to know her knew her as a loving, selfless soul who was kind to everyone. Delia was completely devoted to her husband, two children, and two grandchildren. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them.

A visitación/rosario for Delia will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Oakdale Mortuary & Memorial Park, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, California 91740. A misa funéral will occur Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, California 91740. An entierro will occur.

Delia is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Pizana and her husband, Enrique Pizana (Delia's "novela buddy"), her son, Manuel, her two grandchildren, Emilio and Maya Gonzalez, brothers, sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
