Alice Holguin (Alicia Vasquez) was born in Pasadena, CA on October 9, 1946 to José and Rafaela Vasquez. She was raised in Pasadena with her 3 brothers and 2 sisters, where she also attended school. Alice met her husband of 46 years, Ernest Holguin, on a blind date. They married on March 19, 1966 and lived in Huntington Park before moving to La Puente where they spent the next 39 years. As a housewife in La Puente, Alice spent her days painting, crocheting, and always keeping an open door for her family and friends. In 2006, they moved back to Pasadena so she could be closer to her ailing mother. Eight days short of the 5th year anniversary of her mothers' death, Alice succumbed to complications from diabetes.
Alice is proceeded in death by her parents and brother, José Daniel Vasquez. She is survived by her loving husband Ernest Holguin, cat Samantha, sisters Rachel Villalobos and Grace Lamb, brothers Gilbert Vasquez (Jill) and Louie Vasquez. She is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is loved and missed by all.
