Wilbur Dean Wiser

His father’s name was Walter Winthrope Wiser, and his mother’s name was Tabitha Jane (Messick) Wiser. He had 15 brothers and sisters. They all preceded him in death.

He was married to Dorothy Riner Wiser on August 20, 1943, in Shelbyville, Tennessee. She preceded him in death.

Dean was employed by Caterpillar Tractor, Inc. in East Peoria, Illinois for 32 years as a fireman in the steam plant, and retired in 1980. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Phoenix, Arizona.

He was a farmer at heart and loved the outdoors. Dean was a quiet man who loved God and his family. Dean was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by one son, Billy Rodney Wiser and wife Jessie Wiser of Glendale, Arizona, and one daughter, Cherry Wiser Bush of Phoenix, Arizona. He had 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation services will be held Saturday, November 16 at 9:00 am followed by funeral services at 10:00 am at Chapel of the Chimes, Glendale, Arizona. Clark Tatum will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Matthew Wiser, John Wiser, Aaron Wiser, Alex Dominguez, Kris Bush, and Marc Price. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona.
