Teresa Escudero Romero

Teresa Escudero Romero passed away on September 1, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 4, 1940, in Glendale, to the late Antonio and Lupe Escudero. Teresa was the oldest of six children. Teresa was predeceased by four of her siblings Henrietta Ruiz, Ruth Facio, Antonio Escudero, and Andres Escudero.

She married Carlos B. Romero on February 24, 1963. This year they celebrated 60 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband Carlos, four children Carlos (Darlene) Romero, Jr., Lupe Romero, Vivian Romero (Victor/Predeceased), Kathy (Tony) Blodgett, sister Susanna Garcia, brothers Manuel (Theresa) and Mario (Cydni) Escudero, seven grandchildren Michael Romero, Miranda Romero, Christopher Vigil, Leticia Vigil, John Blodgett, Matt Blodgett, Alex Blodgett, and two great grandchildren Emmerich and Kaida Vigil, and numerous nieces & nephews.

Teresa was faithful in her belief in God. In accordance with those beliefs, she lived life graciously and joyfully. Teresa always thought of others first and in doing so people felt at ease and loved in her presence. She also shared her happiness with others with her infectious laugh and her continual gratefulness for everything in her life.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on September 14, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale with a rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on September 15, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 5614 Orangewood Avenue, Glendale. The burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery. Followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at the Glendale Woman’s Club, 7032 N. 56th Ave, Glendale.
