Sasha Jasmin Guzman

Sasha Jasmin Guzman, age 28, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Sasha was born in Glendora, California. Daughter of Silvia Martinez Baquera and Raul Guzman, sister of Zenia Martinez and Ulises Guzman, aunt of, Cezoram Gwinn and girlfriend to Fernando Hernandez.

Sasha received her Associates of Arts and shortly after decided to enlist in the Navy. Sasha was a Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class of The United States Navy. She served from 2016-2021 in Naples, Italy and once her term ended, she continued by joining the Navy Reserves. She was a leader. At the center of all travel, plans Sasha stood with a smile to ensure that we would see the world the way she saw it. She was stubborn and full of life, helping those she loved and putting others before herself. Sasha was strong-willed and beautiful as she led us forward and away from our darkest days.

Sasha loved traveling, baking, singing, decorating birthday parties, camping, shopping, and thrifting (for hours on end). Her favorite board game was CATAN, and boy was she competitive!

Although it breaks our hearts to have lost the cornerstone of our family, we find comfort in knowing she is free from the pain that these two long years have shouldered onto her.

Rest In Peace Sasha, we love you so much.

A visitation for Sasha will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4601 W Encanto Blvd, Phoenix, Arizona, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
