Patricia Ann Defilippo, age 80, of Phoenix, Arizona entered heaven, on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 with her family by her side. Patricia was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 10, 1943 to Frank and Ella (Campbell) Helstab.
Patricia was retired, a Registered Nurse for 42 years, which she loved. She always said if she could do it all over again, she would choose the same path. She was genuinely good through and through and died without regrets. She was fiercely protective of those she loved and was the glue that held the family together. According to all of her younger siblings, she was the best big sister anyone could've ever asked for. She was so much more than that. She was a best friend, wise advisor, mentor, and mom. She was fair and accepting and patient. She would always forgive even the things she could never forget. She held her parents, who have gone on before her, in high esteem and refused to accept that she was as amazing as they were. Patricia was humble and she was kind. She will never be forgotten by anyone who was blessed enough to know her. The legacy she leaves to her siblings, nieces + nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren is that of unconditional love.
Patricia is survived by her children, Frank DeFilippo, Michele (Chuck) Wansing, John (Mary Anne) DeFilippo, and Patricia (Dave) Ferrera. Her 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and her siblings Frank (Mindy), Marige Blake, Regina (Jim) Lutz, Elizabeth (Gary) Pickett, Marianne (Donald) Helstab-Gutowski, and Katheryn (Earl) Helstab-Houston.
No services have been planned for this time.
