Maximus was born on January 19, 2017 in Fort Bragg, NC. At the age of 1, he was diagnosed with GM1 Gangliosidosis, a degenerative neurological disorder. Despite the uphill battle that ensued, Maximus lived a life filled with love and joy. Maximus would spend most of his time listening to music (Bruno Mars), watching his favorite movie (Coco), and being held by family and loved ones. Over the course of his young life, Maximus became the center of attention everywhere he went with his beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and perfectly styled hair. Maximus possessed the ability to turn a frown upside down, anger into happiness, and despair into hope. Maximus’ life can best be described by Carpe Diem which translates to “seize the day.” Earth is at a loss for losing such a gentle soul.
Maximus is survived by his parents, Gabriel & Briana, great grandparents, grandparents, Godparents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, his dog Carmen, and cat Severus (Carlos).
Maximus will be forever missed, never forgotten, and always loved. Till we meet again, Changuito.
Friends and relatives are invited to Maximus’ funeral services on August 31, 2019 at 3 pm at West Resthaven and again from 5pm-7pm at Orabella Banquet Hall for a Celebration of Life to honor our beloved Maximus.
