Mary Elizabeth Renner

Renner, Mary Elizabeth 95, of Glendale, AZ passed away on January 4, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ossie and her son MG John and his wife Mary Lou. She was born on June 2, 1919 near 65 Ave and Northern and attended Glendale Grammar School, Glendale High and the University of Arizona. Mary returned to Glendale where she met and married W. O. Ossie Renner in 1939. She worked in the family Real Estate and Insurance Agency with her father, G. A. White and her husband Ossie, and her son, George. She is listed on the cradle roll at the Glendale United Methodist Church and is its longest active member. She was involved in many community organizations beginning with Rainbow Girls, 20- 30 Ann’s, Women’s Club, and served as Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She was an active member of PEO and Beta Sorority into her nineties. Mary is survived by her son George (Linda), four grandchildren: Heather (Col Rob), Renner St. John, Molly (Rob) Renner- Gibson, David (Heather) Renner, two great grandchildren Lt. Clay Ligon and Rayce Renner- Gibson. A memorial service will held 11:00 am Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Glendale First United Methodist Church 7102 N. 58 Drive, Glendale, AZ. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Memorial Fund in memory of Mary Renner.
