John Rosales Gonzales

John was a true civil servant, working in various leadership and other roles for the City of Glendale for over 30 years. He married the love of his life, Bertha Gardea, on September 17, 1967, and together, they had four wonderful children.

John, preceded in death by his son Johnny, is survived by his loving wife Bertha, and his three children and sons-in-law, Rachel and Ernest Ruiz, Bertha "Baby" Ortiz, and Abraham and Greg Gonzales-Pollick.

John's pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren Kylei, Ciara, Aaron "AJ", Julissa, Johnny, Jacob, Joshua, Amari, and Emma. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Juliana, Aiden, Alena, Sophia, Jaylen, Charlie, EJ, Gaia, Nalani, Luna, Gianna, and another great-grandchild on the way.

He is also survived by his ten siblings and preceded in death by three brothers.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 4 p.m.-7:30 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m., at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 9, 2023, at noon at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5614 W. Orangewood Avenue, Glendale, with a burial to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
