Jane Elizabeth Atherton

Jane Elizabeth (Volpicelli) Atherton born to the late Louis Volpicelli and Ameila (Bellorini) Volpicelli on April 12, 1929 in Milford, MA. passed away at home on August 6, 2022 in Phoenix, AZ at the age of 93.

Jane Attended and graduated from Millis High School, Class of 1947 and was a lifelong resident of Millis, MA.

Jane was a loving caring wife and mother. She was a homemaker and had many hobbies she enjoyed. She loved baking, needlepoint, knitting, crocheting and painting. What she loved the most was taking care of the family home and tending to her gardens and flowers.

Jane is survived by her daughter Nancy Atherton (Scott Cargill) of Phoenix, AZ; son Edward (Laura) Atherton of Kingman, AZ; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Danielle, Melissa, Carmen, Shawn (Julie), Erik (Sarah) along many other great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her: husband Gilbert E. Atherton, parents, brother, Robert A. Volpicelli, granddaughter Tiffany Wilkens and grandson Edward J. Atherton.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 10 – 10:30 am and a funeral service at 10:30 am with the committal service at 12:30 pm located at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 N. Cave Creek Road Phoenix, Arizona 85024
