Antonio Ortega Ortega Sr.

Nuestro querido esposo, padre, tata, bis-tata, tío y amigos, falleció de 77 años el lunes 29 de marzo rodeado de su esposa, hijos e hijas y nietos a quien el adoraba con todo su corazón. Antonio nació en el Gavilán de Arriba, Jalisco, México de sus padres Leónides y Maria Ortega el 17 de enero de 1945. Antonio se unió en matrimonio con Francisca Fuentes el 17 de junio de 1965, del cual nacieron Maria, Sonia, Antonio Jr., Noemi, Frances, Beatriz y Tito a quien él amaba profundamente. Le sobreviven su esposa Francisca Ortega, 7 hijos e hijas, 24 nietos, 10 bisnietos y numerosos amigos e amistades. Él siempre decía que sus hijos eran su oxígeno. Antonio era un hombre muy trabajador, amigable, respetoso, honrado, madrugador y puntual. Cuando sus hijos estaban chiquitos a él le gustaba llegar con paletas después del trabajo. Sus hijos recuerdan cuando estaban pequeños como el salía chiflando todas las mañanas en camino al trabajo, así como un pajaro. Antonio era muy generoso y les demostraba cariño a sus nietos comprándoles donuts de chiquitos y llevándoles pan dulce de grandes. Sus familiares ya fallecidos lo están esperando con brazos abiertos. Lo extrañaremos muchísimo, nunca lo olvidaremos y siempre estará en nuestros corazones.

Our dear husband, father, tata, great-tata, uncle and friend passed away at the age of 77 on Monday March 29 surrounded by his wife, sons and daughters and grandchildren that he adored with all his heart. Antonio was born in Gavilán de Arriba, Jalisco, Mexico to his parents Leónides and Maria Ortega on January 17, 1945. Antonio was married to Francisca Fuentes on June 17, 1965, to whom were born Maria, Sonia, Antonio Jr. , Noemi, Frances, Beatriz and Tito whom he loved deeply. He is survived by his wife Francisca Ortega, 7 children, 24 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous friends and acquaintances. He always said that his children were his oxygen. Antonio was a very hardworking, friendly, respectful, honest, early riser and punctual man. When his children were little he liked to arrive with popsicles after work. His sons remember when they were little how he used to go whistling every morning on his way to work, just like a bird. Antonio was very generous and showed affection to his grandchildren by buying them donuts when they were little and bringing them sweet bread when they grew up. His deceased relatives are waiting for him with open arms. He will be dearly missed each and every day. We will never forget him and he will always be in our hearts.

A visitation for Antonio will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home (6450 W. Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301) with a funeral service at 8:15 PM.

A second funeral service will take place Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 12:00 PM with burial to follow at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery (401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257).
