Anthony Douglas (Tony) Hight, 64, of Peoria, Arizona passed into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Thunderbird Hospital with his family by his side. Tony was born on October 30, 1952 in Bakersfield, California to parents Cecil and Betty Hight, and moved to Phoenix Arizona at the age of 15. He graduated from Cortez High School in 1970. On August 8, 1976 Tony was married to Ann Fink. They had two sons together and recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.Tony’s father owned several local grocery stores in the Wasco/Shafter, California area where Tony learned the grocery business and learned to cut meat. He worked for Mr. Steak and Black Angus restaurants as a manager and chef before opening his own business, T & A Enterprises, in 1983, where he spent the next 18 years doing what he enjoyed.Tony’s main interests included camping and fishing, gardening, woodworking, home improvements, and video poker. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends who will miss him dearly. Tony’s memory lives on with: wife Ann Marie (Fink) Hight; sons Tony Hight II (wife Christy) and Jason Hight (ex-wife Kailee); six grandchildren: Kathlene, Jonathan, Liahna, William, Sophie, and Molly; brothers: Randy, Brad (wife Ange), Scott (wife Vicki), Burke (wife Cindy), and Bart (wife Lori); sister Dessie; second mom, Herma; brother-in-law Mark; sisters-in-law Karen (husband Ken), Julie (wife Laura). He is preceded in death by both his father and mother. Celebration of Life: will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 27th at Whitton Avenue Bible Church, 2601 E Whitton Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85016, with a reception following at noon. Ashes will be spread in a private, immediate family only, ceremony.
