Terry was born on December 6th, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri to Scott and Jessie Wilson. He graduated from Northeast High school in 1964. Terry married Susan Foster in 1968 with whom he had two sons. He met Mary K. Eaton in 1978. They married in 1979 and spent the rest of his life by her side.
He was a Union Electrician and began a career with the UAW at The Leeds Assembly Plant before relocating (with family) to The Wentzville Assembly Plant, where he remained until his retirement in 2008.
Over his 45 years of marriage to Mary they always encouraged their children to follow their everchanging dreams. He lived for league and tournament bowling as well as golf with lifelong friends and family. Throughout his life, he could rarely be seen on any given Sunday without his Green Bay Packers gear on, cheering on his favorite team.
Terry is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Eaton; sons, Brian Wilson (Kathryn Long Wilson) of KCMO, Scott Wilson (Elizabeth Paradise) of KCMO, and Andrew Wilson of Portland, OR; brothers, Mark Wilson (Dyan) of KCMO, Kevin Wilson (wife, Connie; daughter, Laura) of Huntsville, AL, and George Wilson (partner, Kietha Scheib) of KCMO. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, Alexander Wilson, Olivia Wilson, and Willa Paradise. He lived to watch their shows on tv and gobble up tiny donuts with them.
The family would like to thank Phoenix Home Care and Hospice, Nurses and Doctors for tirelessly providing Terry with over 3 years of excellent care and companionship. They brought joy and laughter to a man who spent his days restricted in movement due to a stroke. Terry always knew how to brighten someone’s day with laughter as soon as they walked through the door.
All are invited to attend a Memorial Service and Reception for Terry on Friday, December 6th, 2024, beginning at 10 AM, at White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone, Missouri (6600 NE Antioch Rd. Gladstone, Missouri 64119), immediately followed by a Graveside Service with Military Honors at Leavenworth National Cemetery, (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
