We still miss you, Shirley.  Ron still remembers when you said Holy Potatoes one time when we were having breakfast with you and Gene.  You only said it that once, but he never forgot, and he says it to this day.

We were so sorry and saddened to learn of Shirley's passing.  We were fortunate to have met you and Shirley at the Voyager several years ago.  Shirley was a very kind and fun person to be around and she always added something special to the event.  We feel honored and lucky to have met Shirley so far away from our homes.

 Mary Kay just called and told me about your loss.  I was so saddened to hear about Shirley passing.  You both are good Friends and unfortunately I know how you are feeling right now.  Shirley was a loving friend and a woman of great faith. Dear Gene and Family,
Gosh, I don't know where to start.  We reminisce so often about all the fun times we had together in Kansas City, Sarasota, San Diego, Tucson and all the other little mini trips we took together.  We were so sad when Shirley suffered ill health and you moved back to Liberty, Missouri.  We missed you both terribly.  
It's comforting to remember being in bible study with her for so many years and knowing how she loved Jesus. She was a dear friend and we shall miss her very much.  Our loss is heaven's gain. May God bless you and your family and give you peace and comfort.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shirley in 2018 when she and her husband attended our Aging Mastery Program. She was always positive, loving, hugging, and smiling. This is what she wrote about aging mastery in her photograph: “I believe Aging Mastery is learning to get the best out of my senior years. I am learning more about exercise, health, balance, finances, etc. You can’t give what you don’t have.”
I mourn her death yet I am relieved she is no longer suffering.

So sorry Gene to hear of Shirleys passing, at a Raggedy  Ann festival is 2005 we met you and Shirley .  We hung out all evening at the hotel . Shirley  was introducing us to people and telling me who I should go see to buy Raggedy Ann stuff . We were all out on the balcony being very loud so you couldn’t sleep .  What a fun weekend .  Prayers for you and your family .

We had wonderful times spent together playing Psaltry, eating out, sharing good conversations and the fun trip to Branson. Also, both  your hospitality and laughs,  having me as a house guest. So sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing . She & Gene were the first people to befriend Tony & I the first year we attended the Raggedy Ann & Andy festival in Arcola,IL.  Shirley also gave me a Raggedy Ann pin to wear.  I will never forget her kindness.  Rest In Peace sweet Shirley. Our prayers to Gene & the family for peace & comfort.
