Shirley Jean Briggs of Liberty, Missouri, passed away December 12, 2023. She was born October 2, 1932 to Leslie Henry and Novella Mae (Scott) Ringen in Sweet Springs, Missouri. She married Robert Lee Briggs on April 5, 1953 in Clinton, Missouri. Shirley grew up in Sweet Springs and Clinton Missouri. She attended the University of Central Missouri. Shirley also belonged to Chapter DT of PEO in Liberty.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Richard Scott Briggs. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Moorefield; grandchildren, Lindsay Dunsworth, and Lance (Hannah) Moorefield; great-grandchildren, Clark and Harrison Dunsworth, and Charlotte Moorefield; and a sister, Louise Overbey. Also, several nieces and nephews.
